Atlassian Team'22 Keynote Opening: Culture eats strategy for breakfast

Impressive to be back here in Vegas at #AtlassianTeam ’22. There couldn't have been a better start to the day than the opening keynote from Atlassian.

During Corona, the way we work has changed like never before. Companies like Atlassian have become true #TeamAnywhere. Today, more people are working remotely than ever before. This allows companies to hire employees they otherwise may not have been able to hire because of the distance to the workplace. Hybrid and remote work have an enormous impact on where teams live and work.

Culture is becoming a differentiator that determines whether organizations succeed or fail.

In fact, Culture eats strategy for breakfast. Teams need autonomy to be creative and innovative. The best work cultures celebrate the autonomy of their teams. Yet all teams need to be aligned.

We want them to have the autonomy to use the tools they want but remain aligned. It is important that everyone is on the same page. Therefore, it is even more important to find the right balance between autonomy and alignment. In today’s world we know that multiple teams need to come together to get work done. Teams need a shared understanding of the what, the who, the why and how.

That's exactly why Atlassian tools are more important than ever. Teams want to use different tools to track their tasks, and this is where the new product Atlas comes in, helping teams get their work done.
